Sinker wood double top preview

The sinker double top is almost done. The box is finished and the neck is near completion! The sinker looks awesome under the finish...

Not until Christmas day... I just got the guitar finished and the new owner is going to be the first to see the full guitar.... till then its only a preview! peterm39073.805

Is that bloodwood binding? I don't think I've ever seen binding so vivid red
before.

Hesh, Sinker redwood comes from logs that were sunken in the river for over 100 years. Its now a banned wood as the removal of the logs would tamper with the newly developed eco-system within and around the logs. The wood is highly impregnated with minerals and as you can see the wood has now some very nice hues...
